Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Rita grew up and embraced the heartbeat of the city’s music industry. After graduating with honors from the University of Miami, School of Music, she started working the club scene.

Her well-known and established local performances would soon take a turn for “session time” at recording studios. She has sung and arranged background vocals for Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, Alejandro Sanz, Gloria Estefan, Ricky Martin, Celine Dion, Frank Sinatra, and many others.

When approached to become a band member for notable artists, she left the studio for a while and went on world tours with Shakira and Gloria Estefan. Rita has also been on promotional tours as a band member for said artists which included live performances on The Late Show with David Letterman, Saturday Night Live, The Jay Leno Show, MTV unplugged, VH1 by Request and The Grammys to name a few.

Rita’s time “behind” the scenes has given her the expertise to produce with a fresh new sound. She has found her musical “home” in House Music for it allows her to fuse her love for moving rhythms,
lush harmonies, and meaningful lyrics. She is currently working on personal projects, as well as projects for upcoming talent.
